Senior Vice President, Human Resources

As Senior Vice President, Human Resources, Michelle is responsible for leading the Human Resources and Safety functions for AlloSource. Michelle and her team manage proactive safety initiatives, recruitment, retention, employee relations, engagement, performance management, training, benefits, well-being, employment law compliance, and compensation. As the organization continues to grow, her team hires over 100 new employees annually.

Michelle has over 20 years’ experience within the human resources and safety umbrella. She has helped grow multi-state workforces for fortune 500 companies such as AT&T, Altria, and Baker Hughes.

Michelle holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Management from University of Phoenix and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She also holds the following certifications: Yellow Belt, DiSC, SHRM-CP, PHR, and Training Generalist.

Kevin Whitten

Chief Commercial Officer

As Chief Commercial Officer, Kevin leads our customer-facing teams including Domestic and International Sales, Marketing, Corporate Communications, and Strategic Accounts. He is responsible for developing the Global strategic sales plan, managing all upstream and downstream marketing and communications efforts, ensuring growth and sustainability and setting the direction for the commercial organization.

Prior to his position as Chief Commercial Officer, Kevin served as Vice President, Strategic Accounts, managing AlloSource’s contract partnerships. With more than 25 years of experience in sales, marketing and contracting for pharmaceutical/biotechnology, GPO’s and medical device companies, Kevin has made a strong impact helping to guide and direct AlloSource’s future growth.

Before joining AlloSource, Kevin was the Area Director/Vice President of U.S. Sales and Contracting with Pacira BioSciences, Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company dedicated to surgical innovation.

Kevin holds a bachelor’s degree in zoology and biochemistry from Brigham Young University.

Kevin is inspired by the gift of donation because he’s seen first-hand people benefitting from AlloSource’s work. He’s seen a family struggle with death and then receive grace through donation because their loved one helped so many people through tissue transplantation. He believes AlloSource employees are truly blessed to do what they do.

Kimberly Meyer

Vice President, Quality Assurance & Performance Excellence

As Vice President, Quality Assurance and Performance Excellence, Kimberly manages the Quality Assurance, Product Safety, and Process Excellence programs for AlloSource. She is also responsible for leading the Project Management Office (PMO), which includes portfolio management, the strategic planning cycle and execution of all corporate projects.

Kimberly joined AlloSource in 1995, starting as a Quality Control Technician. Over the last 20 years, she has held several leadership roles in quality assurance, quality management, regulatory affairs, process redesign and improvement, and performance excellence.

Kimberly has also served as a Rocky Mountain Performance Excellence (RMPEx) examiner in 2005, 2013, 2014 and 2015 and played a leadership role in AlloSource achieving RMPEx’s highest state honor of Peak in 2015. She also helped AlloSource receive RMPEX’s Timberline Performance Award in 2013, Foothills Performance Award in 2010 and High Plains Recognition Award in 2009.

Kimberly holds a bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from Metropolitan State University of Denver.

Kimberly is inspired by the gift of donation because processing donated human tissue truly honors the memory of the donor’s life by improving the life of the patient.

Senior Vice President, Operations

As Senior Vice President, Operations, Ken manages Production, Supply Chain, Engineering and Facilities. He is responsible for ensuring that AlloSource continues to fulfill its mission to honor the gift of tissue donation by creating innovative cellular and tissue allografts to advance patient healing.

Ken joined AlloSource in 2006, starting as a Quality and Regulatory Engineer. Over the years, he developed a strong understanding of the business through several leadership roles in the Quality department. Ken’s experience in Quality has provided the insight to lead the Operations team with a holistic, results-driven approach to success.

Before joining Team AlloSource, Ken worked in manufacturing industries that honed his skills in laboratory practices, manufacturing principles and quality systems. These skills helped Ken make a smooth transition into the Tissue Banking industry.

Ken holds an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University and a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Cincinnati.

Ken is inspired by the gift of donation because it is the last, most personal gift we can give of ourselves. The gift provides life-altering medical improvements through tissue transplants and represents a true selfless act of humanity.


Yan Deng

Chief Financial Officer

As the Chief Financial Officer, Yan Deng supports the President and CEO with developing and implementing the strategic plan in order to advance the company’s mission and promote growth. She also oversees all activities related to Finance and Accounting in conjunction with the AlloSource Board of Directors, as well as the Audit and Finance/Operations Committee.

Over the past two years, Yan has served as Vice President, Finance and Accounting as well as Corporate Controller for AlloSource. She continues to provide leadership, direction and management of the Finance and Accounting team. Yan manages the business planning, forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory management, accounts receivable and payables, payroll and all corporate-level accounting projects.

Before joining Team AlloSource, Yan was Director of Finance for Arrow Electronics, an organization specializing in distribution and value added services relating to electronic components and computer products.

Yan holds a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license in Colorado and earned her MBA from Colorado State University.

Yan is inspired by the gift of donation because it provides many possibilities to help heal patients and incredible value to the communities we serve.


Dean Elliott

President and CEO

For more than 30 years, Dean Elliott has worked in the healthcare industry managing products, sales and distribution channels, regulatory matters, personnel and general business practices to maximize the P&L of corporations. He most recently served at AlloSource as Chief Operating and Legal Officer, leading initiatives such as regulatory policy, corporate compliance, litigation, contract management and a variety of business transactions requiring review or assessment of risk.

Dean has also served AlloSource as its Associate General Counsel and Vice President of Operations. Before joining the AlloSource team, Dean’s positions included Director of Client Services for Reglera, LLC and Acting General Manager of Staodyn, Inc.

Dean holds his law degree from the Sturm College of Law and his bachelor’s degree in health from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

AlloSource recognizes the importance of Corporate Compliance and considers it a key position with Dean ensuring the company is operating in line with regulatory and legal processes to honor the gift of donation.
