Currently serving as a professor in the division of pediatric nephrology at the Washington University School of Medicine, Dr. Keith Hruska has developed his expertise in a number of areas including pediatric and adult kidney disease, chronic kidney diseases, kidney stones, the CKD-MBD, vascular calcification, kidney tubulointerstitial disease, tubulointerstitial fibrosis, transplantation of neocartilage, hyperparathyroidism, calcium and phosphorus metabolism and diabetic nephropathy.

Dr. Steven Gitelis has been an integral part of AlloSource’s growth since the company’s inception, playing an active role in new product development. His commitment to the donation community spans several decades as the Medical Director of the Tissue Bank of Illinois.

Dr. Gitelis is deeply devoted to Rush University, having spent much of his career there. He serves as Dean of Surgical Services and Associate Chief Medical Officer for surgery, and has the responsibilities of a surgeon in chief. He is also President of the Rush Medical Staff, Professor and Vice Chairman of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and serves on multiple committees.

Dr. Gitelis received his Doctor of Medicine from Rush Medical College in 1975 and completed an internship in general surgery and a residency in orthopedic surgery at the Medical Center. He then completed fellowships in orthopedic oncology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., and the Rizzoli Institute in Bologna, Italy, and returned to Rush in 1981. He also was a commander in the U.S. Naval Reserve and served during Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm.

Internationally recognized in the field of orthopedic oncology, Dr. Gitelis has been a visiting scholar and visiting professor at dozens of hospitals and universities on five continents. He has presented extensively at academic conferences around the globe as well.

Dr. Michael J. Bauer is one of the world’s leading experts on eye and tissue banking, as well as being a pioneer in the field of personalized medicine. Since beginning MJB & Associates, a private laboratory consulting practice, in September of 2000, Dr. Bauer has grown the firm to one of only a handful of practices to offer CLIA-qualified laboratory directors to clinical laboratories across the United States, as well as Physician-of-Record services. They also provide medical director coverage to tissue banks, and infectious disease consulting to eye and tissue agencies.

Dr. Bauer enrolled in the Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 1988. After graduation from medical school, he completed a residency in pathology in 1997 at the same institution, followed by a fellowship year in Blood Banking and Transfusion Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Bauer is board certified in Clinical Pathology and Transfusion Medicine. He served in Michigan, New Jersey and Colorado as a blood bank physician.

Recognized internationally as an expert on limb preservation, bone and soft tissue tumors and bone transplantation, Dr. Wilkins serves as an Orthopedic Surgeon for Colorado Limb Consultants, Medical Director for The Denver Clinic for Extremities at Risk, Chairman and Founder of The Limb Preservation Foundation and Faculty Member at the Colorado State University Animal Cancer Center.

Dr. Wilkins has been honored with a number of distinguished awards including Denver Business Journal’s Lifetime Champion in Healthcare (2007), Top Doctors in Denver, Orthopedic Surgery (2007), America’s Best Doctors (2006-2013), Orthopedic Oncology (2006-2013), George W.
